About this tool

Editors want SRT, web players want VTT, MPV users swear by ASS styling and lyric wheels want LRC - four formats, four ecosystems, constant friction. One page solves it: upload any of SRT / VTT / ASS / LRC, convert to any other, edit the result right on the page and download.

Two more everyday operations live here: timeline shift (move an entire subtitle file earlier or later by a fixed amount - the classic fix for subtitles that lag the video; 0.5-2 s is typical) and batch merge (concatenate segmented subtitle files in order, with the timeline of later parts automatically extended).

Everything is pure text parsing and generation in your browser - files never leave the device. ASS export to SRT/VTT strips style tags and keeps the plain dialogue; LRC has no end times, so conversions derive each cue’s end from the next line’s start.

Features

  • Any-to-any conversion across SRT / VTT / ASS / LRC
  • Whole-timeline shift with free-form ± seconds
  • Multi-file merge in your order with automatic time continuation
  • Editable result on the page before downloading
  • Pure local text processing - files never uploaded

How to use

  1. Upload a subtitle file (the format is detected)
  2. Choose the operation: convert / shift / (with multiple files) merge
  3. Pick the target format, or enter the shift seconds (negative moves earlier)
  4. Preview, edit if needed, then download

Frequently asked questions

The subtitles are out of sync - how do I fix it?
Estimate the offset in your player: if everything shows 1.5 s early, enter +1.5 (moves later); if late, enter a negative number. The shift adds the same amount to every cue without changing durations. When the offset grows over time (frame-rate mismatch, 23.976 vs 25), a scale is needed rather than a shift - not supported yet.
Where did my ASS styling go after converting to SRT?
SRT, VTT and LRC are plain-text formats with no fonts, colors or positioning, so {...} override tags are stripped and only dialogue text survives. Keep ASS to preserve styling, or use a dedicated subtitle editor such as Aegisub.
Why do LRC-derived times look interpolated?
LRC stores only start times. Converting to SRT/VTT uses the next line’s start as the current line’s end (the last cue defaults to 5 s). Songs are sung continuously, so this is usually accurate; spoken-word LRC with long gaps may need manual touch-up.
Can I process a whole folder of subtitles?
Multi-file is supported for shifting and merging (select several files of the same format; later parts continue the timeline). Format conversion works one file at a time because browsers deliver one download per file.
