About this tool

Strip the pages with personal details before submitting a form, drop the blank pages from lecture notes, or cut an annex out of a contract - removing a few pages is a more precise job than splitting. This tool offers two complementary modes: Remove mode takes the page numbers to drop and keeps everything else, while Extract mode takes the pages to keep and outputs only those.

The range syntax matches the PDF Split tool exactly: commas separate groups, dashes mark consecutive pages, for example 2,5-7,10. Pages are copied with pdf-lib and never re-rendered, so text, images and links survive untouched. The original file is read-only, so a mistake costs nothing.

Features

  • Remove mode: drop the listed pages, keep the rest in order
  • Extract mode: keep only the listed pages in one new PDF
  • Ranges accept commas and dashes, e.g. 2,5-7,10
  • Thumbnail previews so you can double-check the numbers first
  • Fully local - no upload, no signup, no watermark, no limits

How to use

  1. Drop or select the PDF and check the thumbnails for page numbers
  2. Pick a mode: remove the listed pages, or extract them
  3. Enter the page ranges, for example 2,5-7
  4. Click the button - the result PDF downloads automatically

Frequently asked questions

How do I delete specific pages from a PDF?
Choose "Remove pages", enter the numbers to delete (for example 2,5-7), and the tool outputs a new PDF without those pages. The order and content of the remaining pages stay exactly the same.
How is this different from the PDF Split extract mode?
Split's extract means "keep only these pages"; Remove means "drop these pages and keep the rest". Use whichever needs the shorter list - extract when you want few pages, remove when you want to delete few - without converting page numbers by hand.
Does the page order change after removal?
No. The kept pages are copied in their original order, one by one, without re-rendering, so text, images and links remain exactly as they were.
Can I delete every page?
No - the output must keep at least one page, and entering all of them is rejected as invalid. To split a document into one file per page, use the "Split every page" mode of the PDF Split tool.
