About this tool
A .key file is a black box on Windows, while meetings and reviews ask for PDF. Apple embeds a QuickLook preview PDF of the whole deck inside every .key package - this tool extracts it as-is, so the pages you previewed on a Mac are exactly the pages you deliver.
Honest scope: the output is Apple's static preview render (animations never live in PDF anyway); the Keynote body is proprietary IWA and cannot be deep-parsed in a browser - preview extraction is the faithful, upload-free path.

Frequently asked questions
- Do animations survive in the PDF?
- PDF is static by definition - the deliverable is Apple's rendered layout per slide, which is exactly what printing and review need. For animations, present from the Keynote file itself.
- How do I open a .key file on Windows?
- Two routes: convert to PDF here (faithful, printable), or export .pptx from iCloud Keynote when you need editing. For most meetings and reviews, PDF is enough.
- Does the preview match the live presentation?
- It matches the Mac QuickLook preview; complex font effects can differ slightly in the preview render. That is the most faithful browser-only output there is.
- Is the file uploaded?
- No - extraction runs in your browser; the .key never leaves the device.
