About this tool
The real "ppt to word" job is reuse: rewriting lecture decks, printing speaker notes, building on a proposal. This tool unzips the .pptx and lifts each slide's text in presentation order - title placeholders become Word Heading 1, body text becomes bulleted paragraphs indented by their outline level - producing a .docx you can edit and extend immediately.
Honest scope: this is a text/outline edition, not a visual conversion - colours, images and layout do not carry over (that is the deliberate mirror of "the conversion gave me pictures I cannot edit": we hand you truly editable text). Each slide becomes a section whose structure follows the deck, which is exactly what rewriting and printing need.

Frequently asked questions
- Will the Word file look exactly like the slides?
- No - this is a text/outline edition: titles, body and hierarchy carry over, colours, images and layout do not. For rewriting and printing that is the useful shape; a pixel-perfect Word clone is not honestly possible in a browser, so we say so up front.
- Why is some slide text missing?
- WordArt outlines, SmartArt diagrams, chart labels and text baked into images are not part of the text layer and cannot be extracted. Copy them into normal text boxes and re-convert, or run them through OCR.
- What does the output look like?
- One Heading 1 per slide (the title placeholder text, or the slide's first line when a deck skips placeholders), followed by bulleted body paragraphs indented by outline level. The structure follows the deck, so rewriting and handout printing are easy.
- Is legacy .ppt supported? Are files uploaded?
- Only .pptx (save old .ppt files as .pptx first). Parsing and generation run entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded, no account, no watermark.
