- No. Open the developer tools in your browser and watch the network tab while converting - no file data is ever sent to a server. The tools still work with your internet connection turned off.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes. The interface is responsive and you can pick files and convert them in a mobile browser. Phones have less memory though, so very large PDFs or high-resolution images may be slower or fail.
- Why do some conversions fail?
- Three common causes: the file is damaged, it is encrypted and needs decrypting first, or it is too large for the memory available to a browser tab. Split a big file into parts with the PDF Split tool and process them one at a time.
