QR Code Generator

Turn text, URLs or WiFi into QR codes with adjustable size and error correction

Error correction

About this tool

Nobody types a URL from a poster, and reading a WiFi password aloud loses to a quick scan. This tool turns any text or URL into a QR code instantly, with adjustable size (256-1024 px) and error correction (L/M/Q/H) - higher correction keeps the code scannable even when partially covered.

Output is a crisp PNG / JPG ready for business cards, posters and table tents. Generation happens locally in your browser via the qrcode library: intranet URLs and unpublished links are safe to encode.

Tips: denser content means denser modules and slower scans - prefer short links; the WiFi template assembles the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:...;P:...;; string for you; contact cards work well as vCard text.

Frequently asked questions

Do the generated codes ever expire?
No. A QR code is just a picture of your content - whatever is encoded is what scanners get, forever. "Dynamic" codes elsewhere expire because they route through someone else’s redirect service; these are direct codes with no such dependency.
Which error-correction level should I choose?
L tolerates ~7% occlusion with the sparsest modules; H tolerates ~30% and suits labels that may get scuffed or partially covered (car decals, nameplates). M or Q is right for on-screen use; pick L for long content to keep the grid light.
Can guests really join WiFi by scanning?
Yes. Switch to the WiFi template, enter the SSID, password and security type, and the tool produces the standard WiFi QR format - iOS and Android cameras connect directly without the password being shared in plain text. Very old Android devices may need WeChat or a scanner app instead of the camera.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Not yet. As a workaround, generate at error correction H and overlay your logo yourself - up to ~20% coverage in the center still scans. The feature is planned.
